Frequently Ask Questions

PLEASE NOTE:

What does Just4Fun mean?

Just4Fun is a philosophy which focuses on a reveller experience that is FUN and Safe! Why come to experience carnival with your friends to keep hearing ‘GET IN YOUR SECTION’ every 5 minutes.

We believe that a carnival experience should be fun and we build our entire system around making that happen for the reveller.

How can I register with Just4Fun?

Registration can be done at our convenient J4F Reveller Points. They are;

1. Suzie Q, located in Gable Woods Mall, Sunny Acres

2. Traffic Jamz, located in the Compton Building, William Peter Blvd., Castries

3. J4F Band Meetings at the SLASPA Sports Club held on Wednesday’s

4. Online at www.just4funcarnival.com

What is the NO SECTION RULE?

The No Section Rule is part of the Just4Fun philosophy which says the entire band is ONE PARTY.  This means that you can enjoy freedom of movement between sections (excluding the Marked Off Sections).  We do get into sections from the Vigie Playing Field as we prepare to cross the stage and show the beauty of Just4Fun Carnival.

What is the Band Route?

The governing bodies make decisions on the composition of the route for each respective band and this information will be relayed in due course.

Is the band all-inclusive? (drinks, food, etc…)

Just4Fun is an entirely ALL-INCLUSIVE BAND. There would be three bars opened to all revellers with an additional two bars designated to the specific VIP and VVIP sections. Our J4F Meals on Wheels concept will be back on the road this year, serving hot and tasty foods all along the route. Due to security concerns, our food trucks will not be going pass the Castries market into the city circuit. Revellers will have full access to the truck from Choc to the Castries Waterfront.

Your arm band will contain the food and snack chits required to access the food trucks. Please take care to store your chits in a safe location.

How do I access drinks within the band?

This year Just4Fun is making it even more enjoyable on the road. In recent years, the growth of the band has meant that some new revellers do not fully appreciate the NEVER CLOSE BAR CONCEPT that we introduced when we started Just4Fun. The drinks are meant for the enjoyment of our revellers and by giving non-revellers drinks we are denying our fellow Just4Fun revellers their fair share of drinks.

This year we will again introduce another first. The JUST4FUN REVELLER MUG will be given to each registered Just4Fun reveller. This, along with your Just4Fun wrist band will ensure that we can continue to deliver our NEVER CLOSE BAR POLICY.

What would happen if I do not have my JUST4FUN REVELLER MUG?

The REVELLER MUG is as important as your J4F Wrist Band. You should make every effort to ensure that you have your mug on both days for the ROAD. The drinks truck crew have been instructed not to serve persons drinks without the REVELLER MUG.

Can I give my significant other drinks if they are not a Just4Fun Reveller?

No. You should not deny fellow Just4Fun revellers of drinks. The Just4Fun Security Team will have the discretion to remove any reveller from the band for providing drinks to outsiders. While this is not something we would enjoying doing, we are fully prepared to act in the best interest of all Just4Fun Revellers.

What entertainment is planned for Carnival Monday and Tuesday?

The band will have two 40’ music trailers powered by one of Trinidad’s top sound companies with music provided by J4F DJ crew which includes – DJ Shane, DJ HP, Sir Lancelot , Back2Bascis and Natural Freaks out of New York

What Payment methods are in place for persons living abroad registering online?

What are the features of the J4F designs?

The Just4Fun team has worked to create costumes that seek to marry original designs with an exciting mix of materials. In many instances, patterns were hand sketched by designers prior to creation. Additionally, materials have been sourced from the global market and feature some new intriguing elements. Key to all our designs, is that they must be easy to wear and FUN.

Male shorts are branded Just4Fun for ease of identification on the road. Revellers not wearing these branded shorts will be removed from the band.

How many sections will the band have this year?

THE NEXT ADVENTURE is a 9 section presentation.  This year our partners from KARMA (New York) will be joining us with a full section.

Will the band compete on Carnival Monday & Tuesday?

Just4Fun Carnival will seek  to participate at all judging points designated for Carnival 2011 as long as it does not disrupt the enjoyment and revelry of our masqueraders.
